Health & Safety Disclaimer

Effective June 22, 2026

Progress Report provides general fitness and training suggestions for youth athletes based on coach-provided assessments. We are not medical professionals, and nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician with any questions about a medical condition or before starting an exercise program.

Talk to a doctor first. Before beginning this or any training program, the athlete should be cleared for physical activity by a physician — especially if they have any existing injury, illness, or medical condition.

Stop if something hurts. Pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or unusual discomfort during training means stop immediately and seek medical guidance before continuing. Do not train through an injury. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the U.S.).

Parents and guardians:athletes under 18 should train with appropriate adult awareness and supervision. Make sure workouts happen in a safe environment with proper warm-up, hydration, rest, and equipment suited to the athlete's age and ability.

Recovery matters. Returning from injury or illness should be gradual and guided by a medical professional, not by a training schedule.

Assumption of risk and release. Physical training carries an inherent risk of injury. By using Progress Report and allowing your athlete to participate, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume those risks on your own behalf and on behalf of your athlete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Sport Surge Inc. (which operates Progress Report) and its partners from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the training programs, except where such a release is not permitted by law.
